Yolanda is an up and coming vocalist, songwriter and recording Artist out of Los Angels, California with roots in New Orleans, Louisiana. Yolanda did her first stage performance at an outdoor concert in LA., at the Age of 5 featuring a long time family friend, the late great Jessie Hill. Jessie was performing his hit single "Ooh Pooh Pah Do" when he called yolanda up to join him and show the people what she could do…. And she's been doing It ever since! Yolanda's father is a well-known musician, therefore, It was common for her to have a "front row seat" for some of the hottest " jam sessions" ever held which took place at her home in South Central LA the place known to many musicians as "Red's Backhouse". Some of the " just passing through…" musicians being Little Richard, Lloyd Prince, Dr. John, Reggie Hall, Freddie Domino, Lee Allen, Dixie cups, Billy Diamond & Big Mama Thornton. They just loved to jam when they giggin' and she loved to listen, watch and learn! It was there that she earned the, nickname "Bossy' which her family & friends still call her today! Yolanda started her entertainment career as a dancer, taking private lessons from the great Fahar Nicholas of the (Nicholas Brothers) and Norma Miller, to add style and pizzas to her stage presence. Yolanda started her singing career at the age of 11. She has done background vocal track for Frank Sinatra, Ike & Tina Turner and has just completed her first solo CD project which contains 6 of her originals, " Creole Woman", " Don't Go Looking" " After All These Years" " Poor Me" and more. This project was released by Evejim Records and produced by the well, known incredible Leon Haywood and Tony Coleman. Making her way into the blues circuit, Yolanda has opened shows for such greats, as Linda Hopkins, Joe Houston, Earl Palmer, Lee Allen, Arthur Adams, John Mayall and has shared the stage with Rufus Thomas, Eddie Shaw & the Wolfgang and even Frank Sinatra to name a few. Yolanda leaves a trail of smoke, where ever she goes! She's known as " …the little girl with the big voice." Yolanda's fiery personality is one that catches audiences of all ages. She sings with her sultry, sexy but sassy attitude. Yolanda throws her energy out to he audiences and works them till they sweat! Yolanda's performance is one that never forgotten. She believes in giving her fans, every bit of what they come for and more. Her place up there is long over due! Look out yall, Yolanda is about to tear it up for you.
