GUITARIST VOCALIST SONGWRITER
Turn on your computer, your television, or your radio. Open a magazine or go to the theater. Whether it be the Jay Leno shoe, Donny & Marie, Howie Mandell, Motown Live, or B.E.T. Soundstage, [just name a few], chances are you'll see the face and hear the sound of Darlene Moreno. From the time of her move to Hollywood, the guitarist has been, seen and heard with the likes of Barry White, Chake Khan, Tevin Campbell, Jon B, and many more. She's recorded tracks for Ally Mcbeall, and an Arby's commercial featuring the music of Barry White. Not to mention the CD's of many various artists. Darlene has also been a feature story in Houston Scene Magazine that included an interview and three-page story line with photos. Then there's the time Fernandes Guitars gave her a shared page in their catalog with a full length photo and her own guitar line, REYNA. She's played with orchestras consisting of more than thirty pieces and bands consisting of only four-with music ranging from easy listening-reggae-rap-R&B pop-rock-fusion-etc. There's the music she helped write and arrange for the play "Sol Survivor" and the accompaniment she gave to the play "Food Stamps', written and directed by the infamous Jerry Jones. And if you pick up the first CD recorded by T-Town Records artist Tonya you'll notice Darlene listed as a writer. She wrote the music and the hook for the first single release on Tonya entitled "You Ain't Right". This was also the first single released on the J-Town label [Malaco Records .she then returned to the studio with producer Rich Casom and recorded on much of Tonya's second CD release. Oh, and I almost forgot. If you log on the MP3 network and listen to artist Aaron Aaron you'll hear some great guitar by Darlene on the songs which placed at number2 and 23 on the MP3 charts entitled "Stone Cold" and "Come With Me". So you see, no matter whether you turn on the television the radio, or your computer-whether it be concerts or special appearances or commercials whether theater & musicals or magazines you'll more likely than not find yourself seeing, or listening to, reading about Darlene Moreno. And she's only just begun!
