

DANI's professional career was launched when he emigrated to the U.S. in
1977, and had an opportunity to DJ {rap} on sound systems such as KING TAFARI,
Armageddon, Tippa and others. I n 1982, DANI relocated to Oakland, CA. via
New York and continued to DJ in popular reggae dancehalls and clubs. Shortly
thereafter he began recording for Dalton Wilson on the Balance label.
In 1989 DANI voiced several tracks for producer Ralston " Twinkle Brothers"
Grant with songstress Della Grant on the Twinkle Label. That union marked
the beginning of a fruitful friendship and a period of development for DANI.
Working with the Grants helped DANI prepare for the complexities of the entertainment
industry and inspired him to find his own style. The jazzy "Dancehall jam"
and the sensual "Black Rose" collaboration with Della Grant, were hit singles
in Jamaica, England, and the U.S. In 1992, DANI returned to Jamaica, making
an appearance on the Beach Party night at"Reggae Sunsplash" And had the opportunity
to perform with the Mighty Diamonds, Inner circle and others at one of the
world's largest outdoors reggae festivals, "Reggae on the River" Held in Garberville,
CA. In 1993, DANI produced an original dancehall- infused Commentary track
called "Rodney King" which dealt with the notorious Los -Angeles policies
brutality incident, on the Benstar Label. In 1994, DANI joined forces with
the Los Angeles based producers Felix Washington and Vernon Neilly Of Chereese
Records in 1995,DANI embarked on a tour with "Twinkle Brothers" and Della
Grant and also had the opportunity to work with Boogie Down productions. That
same year DANI appeared at a hip-hop explosion at Redway, CA's Mateel community
Center. Sharing the stage with progressive rap acts Spearhead and the Fugees.
The following year, DANI performed thoughout CA. On the Raggamuffin productions,
1996 Bob Marley Day tour, which featured Burning Spear, Buju Banton, Isreal
Vibrtion, Saggy and the others. DANI returned to Reggae on the River with
the "Twinkle Brothers" and Della Grant on tour, featuring Luciano, I-Jahman
Levi Judy Mowatt, and Dean Frazier. And more. In 1997 DANI appeared once more
at Reggae on the River, sharing the bill with heavies Bunny Wailer Burning
Spear, Lucky Dude Toots and the Maytals, J.C. Iodge and others. With many
years of experience behind him DANI is going up for the release of his first
album FE REAL, a pleasing combination of roots reggae, hip hop and classic
soul (checkout his remix of Curtis Mayfield's "People Get Ready"). He has
just finished a " boom rack with legendary Reggae Guitarist Constantine "Vision
Walker" called "TimeKeeper." Other stellartracks include "What a Shame", "Dis
Little Girl" " Loving Devotion" and " I Want A Love", featuring Wendy Shaw.DANI
holds steadfast to his Rastafarian faith, a crucial source of his life and
music Jah gave the word, and great was the company that published it. Thy
